Event Sales was established in 1985 to serve the needs of retailers and manufacturers wishing to dispose of customer returns, surplus, closeouts, in-store damaged and other types of distressed inventories.
The partners of Event Sales can offer over seventy years of combined retail and off-price liquidation experience. Here are a few highlights and achievements over the years.

  • 1985 – Company established.
  • 1986 – Contract with Marshalls to liquidate their returned and warehouse excess product.
  • 1987 – Contract with Hallmark Cards and Crayola to liquidate surplus and closeout products.
  • 1988 – Contract with Macy's to liquidate salvage and surplus products.
  • 1991 – Contract with Target Stores to liquidate customer returns, warehouse damaged, clearance, and import damaged products.
  • 1994 – Contract with Big 5 Sporting Goods to liquidate customer returned products.
  • 1995 – Contract to liquidate Toys-R-Us and Kids-R-Us customer returned products.
  • 2004 – Contract with Target.com to liquidate customer returned and D.C. surplus merchandise.
  • 2005 – Received 2004 “Vendor of the Year” award from Target.
  • 2006 – Established relationship with J. C. Penny.
